Creating Docking Frames

  1. Open the Time file.
  2. Open the document you wish to dock as a frame.

Note: If docking an external document located on the Document Manager, drag the document from the Document Manager to the address bar located on the Browser toolbar.

  3. Click the document so it is the document in focus and on the Window menu, select Docking View. This docks the document as a frame.
  4. Arrange or resize the windows onscreen by dragging it with the mouse.
  5. To save the layout of the frames so that it is the default layout when opening files, select Window | Save Layout. When the file is subsequently opened, the layout is retained.

Each docked window is listed under the View | Toolbars list and can be hidden or shown.

  • Any docking panes containing Microsoft Excel or Word documents must be closed prior to closing and compressing a file.
  • If a document opens up full screen, click the minimize button on the upper right hand corner of the document to minimize the document, or select the document and select Window | Minimize all. Then click the Restore up button to resize the window to a workable size.
  • To open a non- Time document (e.g., Word, Excel, text, gif, …), drag the document to the address bar located on the browser toolbar. This allows the document to open as a frame inside.
