Docking Frame buttons

Docking window settings are available to let users add buttons to the docking frames and make it more convenient to move docked windows out of the way or close them without turning off the layout. Users can also allow a docked window to be repositioned, which is very helpful when working with multiple frames, open documents and the Issues window.

To access the docking settings right-click the top of a document frame when a document is docked and select Docking Settings.

Once the docking settings are chosen, the settings can be retained by selecting Windows | Save Layout.

When the Show Collapse/Expand Button option is selected, an arrow is displayed on the docking frame to allow the window to be minimized so only the frame is still in view. on that frame is an arrow button. Click this arrow button to expand the window to its previous dimensions.

Selecting Show Hide Button, places a button at the top of the docked frame that looks like a Windows close button. Clicking the button hides the frame but does not remove it from the View | Toolbars list of open frames. If Show Close Button is selected instead, then clicking the x closes the window and removes it from the View | Toolbars list.
