Work in process Balance Limit
The "Clients exceed WIP Limit" documents let users know which clients have exceeded their work in process limits so that adjustments may be made. This is particularly useful to check when doing write offs.
At the present time, a report must be generated when one wants to check the work in process. There is no flag that automatically notifies administrators when a client is over limit.
To use the work in process Balance Limit
- Set the clients' work in process limits.
- Select Setup | Clients.
- Select the first client.
- Click the Billing Info tab.
- Under WIP Balance Limit, enter the desired ceiling.
- Select the next client and repeat.
- When all applicable clients have work in process limits established, close the Client setup.
- To check work in process limits, open or generate the "Clients exceeded WIP limited" document.
To create a new work in process limit report.
- Click the new automatic document button ().
- Set the document type to Client and the format to "Exceed WIP Limit".
