Troubleshooting batch emails

The batch email process can fail in one of two ways:

  • Time does not send any of the emails in the batch
  • Time sends only some of the emails in the batch

If you experience one of the problems above, you can check the log for a batch email and look for any error messages or problems. Below, you can find a list of the more common error messages, explanations for each of the messages, and recommended troubleshooting steps. If you do not see your error message below, contact CaseWare's Support team.

  • On the Address tab of the Company Profile dialog, make sure that the SMTP server and email settings are correct.
  • Check your antivirus and firewall settings to ensure that your computer is allowed to connect to the SMTP server.
(no error message)

The batch email successfully sends emails to people inside your network, but it does not send any emails to external email addresses.

Note: You can verify this by setting the email for one of your clients to an internal email address and trying to send the batch email again.

Confirm that the following settings are true on the exchange server:

  • Anonymous relay is allowed.
  • Relay with authentication is allowed.
