Annotation Dialog

Use this dialog to enter annotation in the document. In the Form mode, the options available may be limited by options set in the Design Mode.

Reference

Type or select an optional document reference. Once a document reference number has been added to a line in a document, clicking the referenced document automatically opens the referenced document, double-clicking the line automatically opens the document annotated.

To enter a generic annotation rather than a specific document reference, from the list, select Manual reference and then enter the desired text in the field that appears to the right of the selection.

Tickmark

Select the appropriate tickmark from the list. To create a new tickmark, on the Home tab in Working Papers or Time click New Tickmark.

Note: This represents an optional annotation note used for additional explanations of non-standard audit/accounting work done.

Note

  • When accessing the Annotation dialog through Form Mode, place the cursor directly on the annotation in question. If the cursor is placed near the annotation (on the same table-row but in a different table-square, for example) the results displayed in the Annotation dialog are a combination of properties from any embedded annotation objects. This can result in inconsistencies in the dialog's listed annotations.
