Copying Annotation from Working Papers

  1. Select a line in a Working Papers automatic document which contains annotation.
  2. Right-click on the line and select Copy Annotation.
  3. If necessary, open Design Mode in CaseView and place the cursor in the location in which the annotation should appear. On the Home tab, in the Annotation group, click and then click OK.

Note: The permissions established on the General tab will have an impact on which annotations may be brought across from Working Papers. See Notes below.

  4. In Form Mode or Form Mode with Enabled Editing, right-click and select Paste.
  5. The annotation will paste into the anchor. To view the annotation, right-click and select Annotate.

Notes

  • The permissions established on the General tab of the Annotation dialog will impact the copy process. For example, if the copied row in Working Papers contains two notes and a tickmark, but the embedded annotation object in CaseView is set such that it will not accept tickmarks, only the two notes will be pasted to that object.
  • When pasting, the current contents of the embedded annotation object are replaced, in full, by the Working Papers annotation information.
