Creating Page Numbers

  1. Position the insertion point where you want to insert the page number.
  2. On the Insert tab, click Page Number.

  3. Specify the page number to use. If applicable, add any text to be displayed with the page number. For example, to have "Page x of y pages" appear on each page, where x is the current page and y is the total number of pages in the document, select the following:

    Before

    "Page "

    Page Number

    Current page

    Between

    " of "

    Page Number

    Last page

    End (plural)

    " pages"

Make sure you have spaces placed around the text you enter so that the text and numbering are sufficiently spaced apart.

  4. In the Number Format list, select the appearance of the page number in the document.
  5. Under Print Logic, select the appropriate conditions under which the page number is to print.
  6. Click OK.

Notes

  • When you add a page number with the Page Number command, CaseView shows the page number as {Pg#}.
  • You can number pages in a document by inserting page numbers as part of a header or footer or anywhere in the main CaseView document. Page numbering begins at the first inserted page number or Table of Contents marker it finds in a document.
