Freeze Tab - Document Settings Dialog

Use this command to configure an existing freeze. All of these options affect the freeze in Form Mode and Form Mode with Enable Editing.

Draw Border

Select to draw a border around the freeze.

Resizable

Select to be able to resize the freeze by dragging the freeze frame to its desired size.

Scrolls Horizontally with Main Document

Select to enable to freeze to scroll with the document when the document has a horizontal scroll bar, rather than being locked in place.

Display at Bottom

Select to display the freeze at the bottom of the page instead of the top.

Include Style Window

Select to include the style window in the Freeze. The style window only shows if both the Show style window option (under View | Preferences) and this option are selected.

Flush Freeze Content Left

Select to push the freeze content to the left. If the Show style window option (under View | Preferences) is enabled, it takes precedence over the freeze content.

Equation Bar at Bottom of Freeze

Select to place the equation bar below the freeze area whether the freeze is above or below the main document. If the freeze pane is at the top of the screen, then from top to bottom the display is freeze pane, equation bar, and main document. If the freeze pane is at the bottom of the screen, then from top to bottom the display is main document, freeze pane, and equation bar.

Prevent Scaling with Main Document

Select to keep the zoom controls enabled, so changing the zoom only affects the main document while the freeze stays at 100%. The zooming controls include the Home and View tab commands, and keyboard shortcuts.

Note: Changing the zoom on the main document will only work while the cursor is in the main document.

Editing Options

The following options specify the controls when editing content in the freeze and indicate if the caret is shown or hidden. The caret is a mark placed within the line to indicate the location of the cursor.

No Input Permitted

Select to prevent any insertion of content in the freeze. You can still select input cells, click buttons, and select popup cells. The caret will be hidden.

Enable Input but Hide Selection

Select to edit content in the freeze, select input cells, click buttons, and select popup cells. The caret will be hidden.

Enable Input and Display Selection

Select to edit content in the freeze, select input cells, click buttons, and select popup cells. The caret is shown.
