Open Knowledge Library command

Use this command to open an existing knowledge library. The Open dialog appears.

Look in

Select the drive and folder in which the Knowledge library you want to load is stored.

A listing of the existing files in the selected folder appears below. The files shown are restricted to those of the file format specified in the Files of type box.

File Name

Select or type the name of the Knowledge library you want to load. This box lists files with the file name extension selected in the List Files of Type box.

Files of type

Select the type of file you want to see in the File name list. Use the drop-down list to select a different file format. As you select different formats the files shown in the folder listing will change. Knowledge Library files are stored in CaseView (.cvw) format.

CaseView Files (.cvw)

Lists all CaseView files – including any saved knowledge library files.

Library files (*.lib)

Lists all library files in the current directory. Library files, used by older versions of CaseView, were user created repositories of content. Users could set them up and then use them to cut and paste content from one client file to another. They did not have all the functionality of a knowledge library.

All Files (*.*)

If selected, the folder listing displays all files in the current folder. Use this selection to view other file formats available.
