Button Tab - Edit Cell Dialog

Use this dialog to edit the cell attributes for a button.

Appearance

Select the type of button to create and options to control the appearance of the button cell.

Button Style

If the operating system is configured to use a "theme" and the General cell options have been set to "Use Theme", set the type of button appearance to use for the buttons.

Windows button

Select to use a 3-D appearance as the one used for buttons in dialogs such as "OK" or "Help".

Toolbar button

Select to use a flat appearance as is used for buttons on toolbars.

Text

Select text to create a Text button like this: .

Click the General tab and enter the button text on the calculation bar. Text for the button must be placed in quotations.

Button Width

Select the width for the button. The default width, Auto, automatically adjusts the button width based on the amount of text or size of the picture.

Button Height

Select the height for the button. The default height, Auto, automatically adjusts the button height based on the amount of text or size of the picture.

Built in Images

To create a custom appearance to the button from the images available in CaseView, select Built in Images.

Specify the appearance of the button as it is selected and cleared by the user in the Form Mode (with or without editing enabled). Buttons can be designed to change dynamically as the user clicks them.

Up

Select the appearance of the button when it is cleared. The bitmap image shows in the box to the right of the list as it is selected.

Down

Select the appearance of the button when it is selected. The bitmap image shows in the box to the right of the list as it is selected.

User-defined Images

To create a customized button using an image not included in CaseView or using dynamic behavior as the button is moused over or clicked, click this radio button and set the features below.

Image Calculation

Enter the label of an image to use, including quotes. The label is used to identify images in the Image Manager.

Alternately, a calculation may be entered that evaluates to a valid image label. Click the images\extdesc_shg.gif button to access the Calculation Editor to compose the function.

State Calculation

Use this field to set the behavior of the check box. Click the images\extdesc_shg.gif button to access the Calculation Editor to compose the function.

Hot tracked means that the button changes appearance as the mouse pointer moves on and off of the button. When state calculation is set, the appearance does not change as the mouse moves on and off from it (except when Blank or -1 values are set).

Images

Click to open the Image Manager where external images can be imported for use in CaseView and a list of the current available images can be viewed.
