Allows user to set rules for external database cells.

Global cell data

Select from drop-down list to establish global settings.

None

When selected, nothing is done with the database record for this cell. If the cell has a default calculation (besides link()), it will write its value down when loaded into the new document.

Add record to destination file

When selected, the database record is added if it does not already exist in the document. If it does already exist, then the value present in the database is used.

Replace record in destination file

When selected, the database record is replaced or added if it does not already exist. The value used is from the source database.

Remove record from destination file

When selected, the database record is removed from the destination database. At this point, either the default calculation or nothing gets written to the database.

Replace older record in destination file

When selected, whichever of the two database records (source or destination) is newer is used in the destination file.
