Changing the Width of a Column of Cells in Form Mode

There are two methods for changing the widths of cells in Form Mode.

Adjusting the width using the Cell Group Edit dialog

  1. On the Document tab, click Cell Groups.

  2. In the Group Label list, select the cell group that you want to modify.

  3. In the Cell Width list, type or select the width of the column.
  4. Click OK.

Note: To change the width of a column of cells in the Design Mode, on the Document tab, click Cell Group. The rest of the procedure is identical.

Adjusting the width using the drag and drop method

  1. Make sure that the ruler is displayed. To display the ruler, on the View tab, select the Ruler option. The ruler displays at the top of the screen in Form Mode.
  2. Click inside the table. The column markers appear on the ruler as grey bars.
  3. On the ruler, point the cursor over the column marker of the column border you want to resize. The cursor changes to a double-headed arrow.
  4. Left-click and drag the column border to its new location, and release.

Notes

  • If the columns are resized in this way, the sizing will override the sizes set in Design Mode but NOT remove them.
