Paste Command

Inserts a copy of the Clipboard content at the cursor's location. This command is not available if the clipboard is empty or if the selected text cannot be replaced. This requires a document security configuration that includes rights for Modify Character Level Formatting, Modify Paragraph Formatting, or Modify Table Formatting depending on where the content is being pasted.

If you are using a language other than English, the Paste command will attempt to convert your pasted content as Unicode. However, you may need to use the Paste Special command to avoid character display issues.

To access the Paste command, on the Home tab, in the Clipboard group, click Paste.

You can also press Ctrl+V.

Notes

  • If using the Copy Formatting command, select the paragraph(s) whose formatting you want to replace and click Paste on the Home tab.
  • When pasting formatted text from Word or Excel in Form Mode (Enable Editing), ensure that the appropriate document security settings are enabled in Design Mode.
