Taxonomy Settings Tab - XBRL Global Settings Dialog

The XBRL Taxonomy Settings tab enables you to specify whether or not you want to explicitly define tuples. Check the Explicitly define tuples checkbox to enable the use of tuples in your CaseView document.

The Explicitly define tuples option is disabled by default. If you check the Explicitly define tuples checkbox and click OK to save the changes to the XBRL Global Settings, CaseView will begin scanning the document for all tagged items with an XBRL tag that is part of a tuple.

New tuple instances will be generated automatically and will have a system-generated identifier assigned to them. The tags contained in tuples will be modified to reference these new tuple instances. It is important to review the new tuple structure after the conversion to ensure that these tags appear underneath the correct tuple instance.

When the conversion is complete, the XBRL Tagging dialog will display a new column with the header "Tuple" that will display the tuple instance identifiers and provide hyperlinks to create and edit the tuple instances.

When Explicitly define tuples option feature is disabled, a warning message will appear stating that "De-selecting this box will remove all explicitly defined tuples when you click OK.
