To PublishExport an XBRL File

  1. On the File tab, click Export | XBRL File.

  2. Select the version of XBRL you are using and click OK.

  3. Ensure that the correct taxonomy is selected in the Taxonomy list.

  4. Confirm the destination file is correct or click Browse... and navigate to the location where the XBRL document should be stored.

  5. Confirm export options. Options include skipped items, zero balances, blank values, and multiple items with the same tag. Click Next.

  6. If there are problems with tagging in the document and its subdocuments, a diagnostic list of errors, warnings and information will display along with a message describing the problem in the XBRL Diagnostics dialog. Diagnostics errors that are severe enough to stop the CaseView document with XBRL tags from being exported must be corrected. The appropriate area in the document where the problem is located will display. Modify or remove the tag. If the diagnostic relates to a subdocument, clicking Correct will open the corresponding subdocument so that it may be corrected. When tagged numeric items in a CaseView document do not total correctly based on the taxonomy's calculation, clicking Correct will open the Instance Preview – Calculation View dialog. The dialog is used to view errors and make corrections.

  7. Click Next. The XBRL Export Summary dialog displays a summary of export options. Click Preview Document to preview the document before printing.

  8. Click Finish to export the document. CaseView generates a completed XBRL file.

Note: The ability to export a document as an HTML file with embedded XBRL tags is no longer supported as of Specification 2 of XBRL. Instead, CaseView offers the ability to export the document as an Inline XBRL export. On the File tab, click Export | Web Page, select a name and location for the file, and click Save to launch the Publish HTML Document dialog and configure these settings.
