Displaying a Watermark Using Events

Use CaseView to design watermark text that appears only on final financial statements to ensure the authenticity of the document. For example, as the Designer, you can create a watermark that displays the firm name only when given final approval by the reviewer of the client file.

  1. On the Home tab, click Cell.

  2. Create a check box cell with a cell number (c6 for example) and click OK.
  3. On the File tab, click Print, and then click Page Setup.

  4. Click Watermark and create the watermark text and position.
  5. Select the Skip if condition true option and enter the following condition:

    C6<>1

If the check box cell with the number C6 is not equal to one (unchecked), the watermark will not appear on the printed document. When the User selects a check box, it has a value of one and when the User clears the check box, it has a value of zero. Therefore, the watermark displays only when the check box is selected.

Note: To ensure that no changes are made to your watermark text, lock the Design mode.
